A new decision by a California judge will change how medical marijuana dispensaries work. Judge James C. Chalfant ruled that Eagle Rock dispensary does not have the right to sell medical marijuana. This is the first time that a judge has ruled that state laws don’t include allowing retailers to grow and sell marijuana.
Judge Chalfant pointed out that the law allows patients authorized to use medical marijuana to get together and grow medical marijuana and use it, it does not give them the right to sell the marijuana, although it is now commonplace.
Allowing marijuana to become legal opens the door for more addicts. Marijuana is still considered a gateway drug. People abusing marijuana need to enroll in an effective drug rehab before they resort to other, harder drugs.
